The result must match the proof

It never suggests everything is proved when only part has been. And the other way round: a point left blank does not mean the request is a forgery, it means the available evidence has not proved that particular point.

The code printed on the request

Twenty-six characters, from a set with no 0, O, 1 or L, so it can be read out over the phone without spelling. The checker looks up the evidence that matches it, and a mistyped code is answered as a mistyped code, never as a missing seal.

Someone is asking you to pay, or to change an account. Enter the code from their message and see what can be proved. No organisation is enrolled yet, so no seal matches a code today, and it says so rather than turning silence into a verdict.

Enter a code today and it says that no seal matches it, which is the truthful answer: no organisation is enrolled and no seal has been issued. It never turns a silence into a verdict. Until an organisation is enrolled, the demonstration above is what there is to see.

Before you act

For a high-value request, this check is one part of the decision. A finance team may still need an existing supplier contact, an independent phone line, internal approval, two-person sign-off and its normal payment controls. Atestan is designed to strengthen that process with evidence, not to replace it.
